Everyone needs an artist friend!

Born in Washington DC in the late 60's, I spent my childhood making art, climbing trees and watching The Electric Company on PBS.

I studied fine art at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture. Creativity remained the undercurrent of my life, even as I endured the usual post BFA careers of screen-printing, picture framing, and retail sales.

Eventually, I found myself teaching at a preschool for children with Autism. Spending so much time with those amazing kids both inspired and moved me. They woke me up to my true calling, and showed me how to be brave enough to reach for it.
